Centuries have hidden the secrets of tarots and their origin. However, one of the most common explanations is connected with Ancient Egypt, after the destruction of the Syrups Temple in Alexandria; Most powerful priests got together to save the treasures Of the World’s greatest library but only few of them had managed to escape the fire that swallowed the works of mankind, and they took with them the most important book, The Tot script (also known as Taro). The meaning of Taro comes from two Egyptian words: - Tar that means the path
- and Ro which means royal
So Tarot can be translated as: "The Path to the Royal Wisdom". Originally, Taro consisted of 78 golden plates, each plate represented a card that contained a lot of mystical signs and drawings. It is said that the Egyptian priests wanted in this way to hide their wisdom and secrets from the praying eye. It wasn’t until the end of 15th century until Tarot had appeared again. A lot of decks were crafted in Italy and Germany, the most famous one is Tarot de Marcel. Yet people couldn’t understand its symbols and the Taro cards transformed into the well known playing cards. The true resurrection of Taro came on the end of the 17th century, when many famous Occultists like Cor de Jeblen and Eitelle have managed to decode some of its symbols. But the peak of Taro really came in the 20th century when Raider Wait had managed To decode the rest of the symbols and with the help of his friend have created the famous Wait’s deck. |

Tarot is made up of 78 cards: - 22 cards are known as Major Arcane (in Latin, Arcane means Mystery).
They symbolize the major virtues and vices of humans and show the path towards the perfection of the human soul. - The rest 56 cards are knows as Minor Arcane, they are divided into four elements: Water, Fire, Earth and Air.
Those Cards are connected with our everyday life. They reflect our mental, social, material and emotional life.
Each card has its meaning and every person unconsciously can decode it if he wants (try to look at the cards above and imagine what you see, you will see something that no one before you have saw, choose a card that best suits you, it is then your card). But be aware it takes more than that to understand the true meaning of the spread. Only the deepest knowledge of the subject and most strong intuition can enable the Tarot reader to understand the spread, that’s why there are only few good Tarologists and barely any excellent ones. Cards give positive energy, they help the person to have a look at his future and somehow to alter it if it doesn’t suit him and why not!! If a person has a chance to make his life better and safer why not use it especially if life has a lot of paths why not choose the best one. |
